Enrico Nichelatti is a research assistant at UNU-WIDER.
His work focuses on tax benefit microsimulation models. He is a PhD student at the University of Helsinki in the faculty of Social Sciences and focuses on taxation and social protection in the Sub-Saharan region during the COVID-19 era.
He has previously worked for the Economic Policy Research Institute, focusing on the analysis of the social and economic impact of COVID-19 in developing countries through microsimulation models. He has a double master’s degree from the United Nations University Maastricht Economic and Social Research Institute of Innovation and Technology (UNU-MERIT) on Public Policy and Human Development.
