Imen Ghedhioui Imen Ghedhioui is an advisor on digital transformation, serving at the United Nations University – Operating Unit on Policy-Driven Electronic Governance (UNU-EGOV).
Her expertise extends to advising board members of the Parliamentary Committee on digital-ready legislation, namely in the law drafting for the Social Protection framework “Women in the Agriculture Sector for the Social Digital Service Government” initiative.
Imen served as an advisor to the Cabinet Office of the Ministry of Technology on Digital Transformation (Tunisia), leading the e-Gov component in partnership with the Presidency of the Government Office. She contributed to the final policy brief for the G20 (2021-Italian Presidency). She delivered workshops and strategies for government entities in the e-Gov field (organisational interoperability, change management, building blocks, UIX and services references).
As a digital governance consultant, she has led transformative projects in Tunisia, the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and Jordan, focusing on digital government assessments, benchmarks and monitoring, digital governance advisories, strategies and recommendations, and international good practices and awards.
She contributed to the first edition of the UNDPPA initiative for an Online Dialogue on Digital Technologies to enhance women's inclusion in mediation processes in 2021 to support the reflection on technological uptake in conflict time.
She founded BSDL (Behavioural Science Design Lab), where she is dedicated to supporting and advising policy transformation processes using data-driven, behavioural science, technology, and evidence-based methodology. She designed and prototyped (PoC) an AI-assisted parliamentary advisory tool to support decision-making exercises, which was selected as part of the innovative solutions for the European Union civic4tech final competition.
Since 2014, Imen endorsed several advisory roles with the Ministry of Higher Education, as an innovation advisor for the Horizon-2020 Research and Innovation program (EU) and has supported several institutions in implementing innovative and transformative policies.
Imen Ghedhioui is the co-founder and SG of the African Women Leadership Network (AWLN) a UN Women and African Union. As a non-resident-fellow with the research team at Harvard University, Imen is part of the research team building the prototype for an AI-assisted negotiation Simulator: a collaborative project between Frontline Associates, Harvard University-Harvard School of Engineering, and the Centre of Competence on Humanitarian Negotiation (Geneva). She also intervenes as a visiting co-faculty teaching at NYU (New York University) Abu Dhabi for the class “Negotiating Peace: Women’s Leadership in Conflict Resolution”.
Imen Ghedhioui holds a Master’s degree from the Harvard Kennedy School of Government in Public Administration.
