Berthy Kpiebaya is part of the Joint PhD Programme of UNU-FLORES and TU Dresden.
Berthy Kpiebaya previously worked in Ghana as a Project Coordinator for a German Government sponsored project, HCD for MMDAs which trained local authority staff in Ghana on sustainable e-waste management.
Her topic is focused on the Environmental Footprints of the Electronics Industry; Applying the Resource Nexus of the Global South.
Berthy Kpiebaya is passionate about sustainable waste management and urban mining, with a focus on gender inclusive approaches to circular economy and informal waste management practices in Ghana.
