Preeyaphat Chaiklang is a Doctoral Researcher in the Joint Ph.D. Programme in Integrated Management of Water, Soil, and Waste between Technische Universität Dresden and UNU-FLORES.
She is working on the topic “Nature-based solutions by mangrove restoration – a new challenge for mangrove ecologists and coastal Engineers” where her research focuses on mangrove restoration management for sustainable environment resource development in Thailand.
Before joining UNU-FLORES, Preeyaphat worked as a Research Assistant at the Forest Restoration Research Unit (FORRU) and as a Project Manager of the forest restoration project (CMU MODEL) at Chiang Mai University. She has experience working on developing seedling production to restore tropical forest ecosystems for biodiversity, environmental conservation, and carbon storage.
