Workinesh Takele Tessema is part of the Joint PhD Programme of UNU-FLORES and TU Dresden.
I have been working at Hawassa University since 2011, following my graduation with a BSc degree. I initially joined the university as a Graduate Assistant and have since held various academic and administrative positions. Most recently, I have been serving as the Head of the Natural Resources Management Department and as a Lecturer. Throughout my career, I have actively participated in several research projects. I have worked as a Hydrological Consultant on a restoration project implemented by the Global Green Growth Institute (GGGI) in collaboration with Hawassa University. Additionally, I completed an internship at the Eastern Nile Technical Regional Office (ENTRO), where I contributed to the Eastern Nile Water Resources Assessment and Situation Analysis.
My doctoral research focuses on Transdisciplinary Integration of Knowledge for Sustainable Transformations in Regional Water Management.
