Adelaide Umuhuza is a PhD fellow at UNU-MERIT since 2021. Her research interests revolve around dynamics of water security in Internally Displaced People (IDPs) and refugees’ settlements.
She is a water and environmental engineer passionate about irrigation, drainage and floods management with focus and experience in Sub-Saharan Africa (Rwanda, Uganda, DRC and Nigeria). She holds a MSc. in Water Science and Engineering with specialization Land and Water Development for Food Security from IHE-Delft and a BSc. In Water and Environmental Engineering from the University of Rwanda.
