Ms. Shooka Bidarian is a sustainability and climate expert with over 10 years of experience at the intersection of environmental storytelling, media strategy, and climate justice. 

As the Media and Journalism Fellow in Sustainability and Climate at UNU-INWEH, she develops communication materials and digital content in support of the institute's public engagement efforts and amplify its global reach and impact. She also collaborates with partners to enhance UNU-INWEH’s digital presence and engages with journalists and other stakeholders to expand its outreach.

Ms. Bidarian has held diverse roles as a documentary producer, TV presenter, climate researcher, and sustainability advisor. Before joining UNU-INWEH, she served as Lead Researcher and Writer for Sir David King’s Climate Crisis Advisory Group (CCAG), contributing to a report on strengthening voluntary carbon markets to ensure real, verifiable mitigation.

Ms. Bidarian holds an MSc in Sustainable Development from the University of Sussex and a BA in Business Administration from the Antwerp Management School, and a Diploma in Teaching from the Sultan Kudarat State University.
